As a business and management expert, Mr. Murphy focuses on management consulting for the
Corporate, Finance, and Operations functions. He is also a start-up expert, assisting emerging
to pre-IPO firms in developing and executing their business plans, raising capital, and negotiating
and securing collaborations. He is also the author of a number of publications, including industry
Reports, Strategic Reports, White Papers, and Process Reviews.
Mr. Murphy co-founded BioInfoGen Inc. in December of 2000 and served as Finance Director and acting Chief Financial Officer through March of 2005. As CFO at BioInfoGen, he established and managed the corporate infrastructure and operations, secured the company’s seed-round financing, and led key negotiations in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, and Saudi Arabia.
Prior to founding BioInfoGen, Mr. Murphy spent six years at Incyte Genomics, building a portfolio
of experience in biotechnology operations. At Incyte, he held key positions in management,
software development and genomic science.
